  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 flat teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Baharat spice
  • ½ lemon (squeezed)
  • 2 cups water
  • â…“ cup date syrup
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 355°F (180°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rice, ground beef, parsley, mint, and diced tomato.
  3. Prepare the leeks by trimming and slicing them lengthwise to create leaf-like layers.
  4. Fill each leek layer with the meat mixture, folding into triangular shapes.
  5. Arrange the stuffed leeks in a baking dish and mix sauce ingredients; pour over the leeks.
  6. Cover with parchment paper and foil; bake for one hour and fifteen minutes.
